Research visit of PhD student from Iltaly, University of Perugia

As part of the implementation of the international doctoral programme, we are hosting at ERCE, for a six-month research visit, Ms Chiara Ruspi from Italy, from the University of Perugia - Doctoral School on Biotechnology. PhD student, in cooperation with team’s of prof. Joanna Mankiewicz-Boczek, will carry out research on: i. the tolerance to stress conditions (i.e. salt stress) of bacteria and cyanobacteria and their possible function as plant growth promoters; ii. the characterisation of microorganisms from soil and rhizosphere samples from agricultural areas in Poland in terms of the aforementioned stress tolerance and PGP function.

W ramach realizacji międzynarodowego programu studiów doktoranckich gościmy w ERCE, z sześciomiesięczną wizytą naukową, Panią Chiara Ruspi z Włoch, z University of Perugia - Doctoral School on Biotechnology. Doktorantka, we współpracy z zespołem prof. dr hab. Joanny Mankiewicz-Boczek, będzię realizować badania na temat: i. tolerancji na warunki stresowe (tj. stres solny) bakterii i cyjanobakterii oraz ich możliwej funkcji promotorów wzrostu roślin; ii. charakterystyki mikroorganizmów z próbek gleby i ryzosfery z terenów rolniczych w Polsce pod kątem ww. tolerancji na stres i funkcji PGP.
